Festival of Trees

I am a member of a local origami club; The Albuquerque Origami Society (AOS).  We are a small but strong group that meets once a month.  Last year we decided to donate an origami tree to the local Festival of Trees.  Festival of Trees is a fundraising effort to support Carrie Tingley Hospital for Children.  Our tree was called, “Hollygami,” and featured 900+ origami stars.  The angel on top was an original design by one of our members, Jason Stearns.  Hollygami was voted “People’s Choice” during the weekend festival.  We are proud of our group effort to produce a beautiful origami tree and to support a very worthy cause.  Happy Hollydays!!!

I came to this blog in search of a picture of your Christmas tree to post on my Pinterest page. My daughter and I voted for your tree at the Festival of Trees–we fell in love!

I just though I would let you know how much we loved your tree! Thanks for sharing!
